Carols by Candlelight

On Friday evening, the Edge Singers from Tavistock came to our hall.
We had a wonderful time, listening to and joining in the Christmas songs medley they presented.
The singers were accompanied by guitars and harmonica. Their choice of festive songs was varied, including 2 traditional carols amongst lots of popular songs such as White Christmas and Mistletoe and Wine.
The hour event was followed by partaking of free mulled wine and snacks offered by the hall committee.
It was a warm hearted, simple, festive occasion which everyone in the audience enjoyed. The Edge singers commented on the cosiness and “typical village feel” of our hall and complimented us on the beautiful decorations.
We plan to repeat this event next year, mid December and hope more Brentor residents will come to this magical medley of festive songs.
Donations at the Mistletoe Fair and the Edge Singers event raised £113 for the ‘Cornwall & Devon sending love to Ukraine’ charity
