MISTLETOE FAIR

The ever-popular Mistletoe Fair was a huge success again this year. The hall was beautifully decorated with lights, bunting, greenery, berries and mistletoe with a new tree of light made from tree branches installed above the west door.

The highlight of this year’s fair was a performance by the Hummingbirds Trio. They entertained a packed hall for 45 minutes with a medley of Christmas music including a magical rendition of “The 12 Days of Christmas” and finished with a very seasonal “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”.

There were 10 very popular stalls selling various goods from honey & preserves to glass and hand crafted decorations to knitted garments to the famous Brentor Calendar.

Refreshments this year included 3 varieties of soup and sausage rolls which quickly sold out alongside mulled wine and a variety of cakes and mince pies.

The fair ended with the traditional raffle with a wide variety of prizes including hampers and champagne and some lovely items donated by our stall holders.

The tree outside the hall was decked with lights which will be switched on every evening until early January so there is plenty of time to pop down and take a look.

Money is still trickling in but we expect the total to be well over £500 which will be spent on improvements and future events.
