Swamp Stomp String Band
During November Brentor Community Trust played host to a Villages in Action band called The Swamp Stomp String Band…a lively travelling three piece band who entertained a good crowd at the village hall with their twangy banjo, honky-tonk piano, and a thudding double bass.
The unique mix of Bluegrass, Country, and Americana music plus the odd waltz together with their boisterous and some might say, slightly bawdy performance was appreciated by young and old (8 to 80 year olds!) with enthusiastic foot tapping, hand clapping and some lively jigs!
